This petition is to ensure the safety for swimmers at Breakwater Beach.

During the higher season, motor boats, jet skis, and dangerous water vehicles, use the beach as a playground. They do not know the rules of the sea and take no notice of the 5 knot buoy. 

Swimmers who use this beach all year round are becoming extremely concerned for their safety.  Swimmers wear highly visible caps and also have swimming tows, but this does not stop motorised sea vehicles coming far too close.

We are asking that Breakwater Beach is made a swimming only zone with a line of buoys from the rock to the breakwater. There is no launching from the beach allowed, but this again is not taken any notice off.

Make Breakwater Beach a safe swimming beach for everyone.
