Safer Train Stations For Salisbury - Build An Overpass
This petition had 151 supporters
There is no safe access to the platforms of train stations in the Salisbury area. Putting lives at risk everyday crossing a freight train track to get to the platform is totally unacceptable, and shows how communities in the North have been neglected by the current Labor government, and forgotten by the Liberal opposition.
Additionally, with the government's welcome election promise to create athletics facilites at Bridgestone Oval, there will be many children and athletes crossing the tracks at Chidda to get to training, who should be able to do so safely.
It is time to build an overpass at Chidda station to provide safe access over the tracks. This oversight should have been remedied a long time ago and is just one example of how good people in the North have been taken for granted for too long.
We also need to see stations such as Chidda more frequently serviced to prevent parking congestion at the major interchanges.
Please sign this petition and tell the Department of Planning Transport and Infrastructure that we NEED safe access to station platforms in the area.
