Why this petition matters

Started by Ron Barnett

On August 3, the Municipality of Grey Highlands Council voted against the addition of traffic calming measures and reduced speed limits through Eugenia's residential streets, as was recommended by the Police Services Board.

This was after one pedestrian was killed and three others were seriously injured on July 19, just two weeks earlier in a hit-and-run accident on Inkerman Street.

Our streets are poorly maintained, not well-signed and disintegrating before our very eyes. With no sidewalks, shoulders or bike lanes, our roads are dangerous to walk on. Pedestrians, cyclists, vehicles with trailers, horse & buggies and the mobility disabled are all forced to share the same space.

Tell our municipality that their inaction is unacceptable!

Tell them to ACT NOW to make our streets safer before another tragedy befalls us!
