Safer Metros Tyne & Wear

Safer Metros Tyne & Wear
It has been noted how many groups of young people have been causing issues on board metros in Tyne and Wear. Not just yobs, adult passengers who seem to disrupt journeys for others. The below was published today, and the fact is that enough is enough.

The issue has been highlighted to the police, local councils and Labour leaders who are trying to make a difference and crack down on anti social behaviour on board one of the areas most iconic public transport systems.
We need to petition for more funding and better security network wide. New trains are due to be introduced within the next year or so. Passengers have families and friends to go home to at night. Thousands rely on the metros each day. With large groups causing anxiety for others, many passengers have been inconvenienced and are turning away from a vital part of reaching their destinations.
Please sign this petition today to make a difference and make our metros safer for everyone.
