Parents and children are having difficulty at peak times crossing Union Hall Road and Tyne View in Lemington. The situation has got worse since the school crossing patrol was withdrawn several years ago without any replacement, such as a zebra or pelican crossing, being put in place.

Because of the lack of a safe place to cross roads, many parents are taking children to school by car and not giving older primary school children independence to prepare them to travel independently to high school.  

We the undersigned call on Newcastle City Council to create safe crossing places for Union Hall and Tyne View.
