Megan Lenn started this petition to Sacred Heart Cathedral

Plastic is not biodegradable, it just breaks down into small pieces of plastic, this leads to many animals to choke and block their stomachs leading them to their death. By reducing the use of single-use plastic in schools, we are making a small yet impactful contribution to our society. By reducing the use of plastic through packaging, selling plastic straws and water bottles, we are able to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that damages and hurts our environment. The more schools that reduce the use of plastic, the more good we do for our planet. By signing this petition, you can help convince schools to stop selling single-use plastic to its students and use an alternative source. If we do not find a way to reduce or stop the use of single-use plastic, according to Earth Day Network by 2050 their will be more single-use plastic in the ocean than fish. So sing this petition to help save our planet!
