Petitioning Saban Brands

Bring back other past actors for the next Power Rangers reunion

To Elie Dekel, President of Saban Brands:

In November 2014, the current season "Power Rangers: Super Megaforce" will feature eleven past Rangers as guest stars on their reunion episode "Legendary Battle".  There are many more past Ranger actors who would still like to go back to the show and they're just as popular with fans now as they were during the show's 21 year run, and counting.  We realize there are 20+ seasons worth of Ranger actors and that not everyone could be invited back/return as guest stars, but we hope that Saban Brands and Nickelodeon decide to create a new "Power Rangers" reunion featuring more past actors from the series who would like to return for a new reunion.

A lot of actors from the various seasons of the series have expressed interest in returning to the show as guest stars, including Walter Jones, Blake Anthony Foster and Amy Jo Johnson, who told No Pink Spandex in an interview in July 2013 she would've loved to have returned for the "Legendary Battle" episode of "Super Megaforce".

Here are some suggestions of past Ranger actors that fans hope that Saban Brands and Nickelodeon could include invite/bring back as guest stars for the next reunion in a future season (though whether or not the actors accept the invites are up to them):

- The cast from "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" (Austin St. John as Jason the original Red Ranger, Walter Jones as Zack the original Black Ranger, Amy Jo Johnson as Kimberly the original Pink Ranger, David Yost as Billy the Blue Ranger and Karan Ashley as Aisha the second Yellow Ranger)
- David Fielding as Zordon
- Sandi Sellner as Alpha 5
- Richard Horvitz as the voice of Alpha 5
- Kerrigan Mahan as the voice of Goldar
- Barbara Goodson as the voice of Rita Repulsa
- Robert Axelrod as the voice of Lord Zedd
- The cast from "Power Rangers Zeo" (Jason David Frank as Tommy the Red Zeo Ranger, Johnny Yong Bosch as Adam the Green Zeo Ranger, Steve Cardenas as Rocky the Blue Zeo Ranger, Catherine Sutherland as Kat the Pink Zeo Ranger and Nakia Burrise as Tanya the Yellow Zeo Ranger)
- Blake Anthony Foster as Justin the Blue Turbo Ranger

While Jason David Frank did return for the "Legendary Battle" episode of "Super Megaforce", fans are hopeful he can also return for the next reunion so we, the fans, can see him interact with some of his old fan-favorite co-stars, such as Austin St. John, Amy Jo Johnson and Catherine Sutherland.  Fans would especially love to see as many of the "Mighty Morphin"/"Zeo"/"Turbo" era cast members come back as guest stars for a new reunion and it would likely garner huge ratings for the series if they returned as guest stars.  Fans also hope to see Austin St. John's character Jason be the one to serve as the leader of the past Ranger guest stars if a new reunion is made. However, if any of the eleven actors decline the offer to return for the next reunion, we hope other that other past actors like  Christopher Khayman Lee (Andros the Red Space Ranger from "Power Rangers In Space"), Rhett Fisher (Ryan the Titanium Ranger from "Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue"), Erin Cahill (Jen the Pink Time Force Ranger from "Power Rangers Time Force"), Daniel Southworth (Eric the Quantum Ranger from "Power Rangers Time Force"), Jessica Rey (Alyssa the White Wild Force Ranger from "Power Rangers Wild Force"), Sally Martin (Tori the Blue Wind Ranger from "Power Rangers Ninja Storm"), Emma Lahana (Kira the Yellow Dino Ranger from "Power Rangers Dino Thunder"), Monica May (Z the Yellow S.P.D. Ranger from "Power Rangers S.P.D."), David de Lautour (R.J. the Jungle Fury Wolf Ranger from "Power Rangers Jungle Fury"), Azim Rizk (Jake the Black Megaforce Ranger and Green Super Megaforce Ranger) and Ciara Hanna (Gia the Yellow Megaforce Ranger and Yellow Super Megaforce Ranger) could be considered to take their place as guest stars for the next "Power Rangers" reunion.  As actors from recent seasons usually get invited back for the next reunion, we hope that if Ciara Hanna does return as Gia, that she can get a scene or two with Amy Jo Johnson as Kimberly, as Ciara Hanna wanted to work with her on "Super Megaforce".

For the next "Power Rangers" reunion, fans are hopeful it could be made as either a two-episode TV "movie" like "Clash of the Red Rangers" was on "Power Rangers Samurai" or as a full-length theatrical film to give enough screen time for all of the Rangers and characters who return as guest stars.  Regardless of whether the next reunion is one episode long, two episodes long or a film of some kind, we, the fans, hope there will be more character development for the returning guest Rangers as we'd love to know what their characters have been up to since they were last seen on the show, that each character gets a fair amount of screen time and dialogue, each Ranger gets to be shown in battle, and that there can be as much time spent of the actors outside of their Ranger suits as they would be morphed.

While the "Power Rangers in Space" episodes "Countdown to Destruction" had Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd turned into humans and Goldar was turned into sand, we, the fans, hope the show returns them to their original evil forms somehow.  Fans also hope that, whether the character appears in flashbacks, is somehow resurrected or appears by other means, the next reunion could also include David Fielding back as Zordon as a guest star if Saban Brands and Nickeldeon make a new "Power Rangers" reunion.  We, the fans, would also like to see Alpha 5 appear somehow and find out what happened to the character since his last appearance.

Fans hope that the next reunion could be written by Judd Lynn, who has been involved with the show such as a series writer on such classic "Power Rangers" episode as "Countdown to Destruction" from "Power Rangers In Space", and most recently as the executive producer of "Power Rangers Dino Charge".  Fans are also hopeful that Ron Wasserman, who originally did the songs for "Power Rangers" during the early seasons of "Power Rangers", can return to do the music for the next reunion, that a Zord battle with the current and hopefully previous Zords could be featured, and that the show could finally explain if Tommy ended up with Kimberly or Kat.  While it's likely the latter question could be mentioned on the "Super Megaforce" reunion and although Tommy was seen married to Kat in the future on the episode "A Season to Remember" on "Power Rangers Zeo", most fans would love to see Tommy and Kimberly end up as a couple again, as many fans disliked their break up by Kimberly's letter to Tommy on "Power Rangers Zeo".  If the show reveals Tommy is married to Kat as the "Zeo" episode intended, some fans hope that it's revealed that Kimberly and Jason have become a couple after the events of the "Turbo" movie so that the "Jimberly" fan romance could see it included on the show's canon.

Finally, no reunion would be complete without fan favorites Bulk (Paul Schrier) and Skull (Jason Narvy) and many fans hope to see the duo appear on the next "Power Rangers" reunion as well.

However, again, these are suggestions as to what could be included IF a new reunion gets made, as we are not trying to tell Saban Brands or Nickelodeon what to do with the series as that's not our place.

We realize this new reunion would be very costly with so many previous cast members fans requested at wanting to see back. But with so many past actors expressing interest in going back to the series and so many of these series now new to children from the changes into past Ranger forms on "Power Rangers Super Megaforce", we, the fans, feel it'd be fun to see so many old faces reunite on the show.

We are not trying to in any way be disrespectful to Saban Brands and we are not trying to tell them what to do with their popular TV series, as we have more respect for the series and the cast and crew who work so hard on the show to get it made. We only hope that Saban Brands and Nickelodeon are able to create a new "Power Rangers" reunion on a future season of the series, hopefully in the 2016 season or maybe the 2017 season (the same year that marks both the 10th anniversary of "Once a Ranger" and the 20th anniversary of the "Turbo" movie), that reunites some fan favorite Rangers, villains and other characters and lets some of the original Rangers from various seasons of the series go back to action!
