I have lived on Christmas hill for roughly 30 years,  have had three dogs,  and am tired of having to drive to somewhere such as Mount Doug to be able to walk my dog,  when i have a perfect place in my own backyard.  As it is a nature sanctuary,  I understand the need for dogs to be leashed,  and cleaned up after,  but by and large,  humans do much more damage to the surrounding nature than our 4 legged friends. 

With the pandemic,  more and more of us are looking for ways to get outside and enjoy the beauty of nature. This has also coincided with an uptick of people adopting canine companions,  and it seems such a shame to bar us animal lovers from taking full advantage of the beauty on our doorstep.  

I am beseeching you to sign this petition,  and allow me to walk my dog on leash in the forest I myself grew up in.
