The Rye Library is a treasure in our town, that we should be investing in and growing, rather than devaluing and diminishing. Please join us in asking the selectman to let the voters decide if we as a town would like to give up any of the library land, rather than acting unilaterally.  Giving up part of the library as well as the future ability for library expansion is not what town citizens were asked to vote for in March of 2020.  If that is the desire of the selectmen, we should have a voice in the 2021 election and they should propose a warrant article.
