My high school, which I received a great education and is full of wonderful staff and people, has an unfortunate and obviously racist mascot. The Colonel, is depicted in full Antebellum clothing, but even if the image were changed there really is no need for this type of mascot in today's world. I am asking that the mascot, which I will forever be linked to as I can't change where I graduated from, be changed to something more tasteful, and specific to the beautiful Commonwealth of Virginia.
