For too long now, cars have been able to speed up and down Belmore Street, Ryde (particularly outside building numbers 41-45 and 100 Belmore Street) due to a lack of speed bumps creating an unsafe pedestrian environment and causing excessive noise pollution - especially so in circumstances when the cars are modified and the driver is driving recklessly and endangering lives purely for the purposes of creating noise.

We request that Ryde City Council take appropriate action immediately and install speed bumps along Belmore Street to not only avoid excessive noise pollution but to keep all pedestrians safe. 

In addition, this also negatively impacts the property value for owners who are looking to sell their properties as it is extremely undesirable to future purchasers (and tenants) to live next to excessive car noise (that is not desirable or appealing to anyone but the driver) which is very disruptive during both work and night hours.
