My name is Becky Hunnell and I'm going to tell you my husband's Ryan Hunnell, story.

 On July 7,2022, Ryan was riding his motorized bicycle home from work. He was going eastbound on 32nd st. He was not wearing a helmet. 

 A Newton County Officer was driving his Tahoe eastbound on 32nd st. Going the same way as my husband. The officer admitted he was speeding and that he was distracted, not paying attention to the road. He said that he looked at the computer and when he looked up he saw my husband and he rear ended my husband. Sending Ryan through the air. 

 Ryan was taken to the hospital. Due to his injuries sustained from the accident, on July 10,2022 my husband died.

 I do believe that if Ryan was wearing a helmet that he could of had better hope of survival. In Missouri you don't have to wear a helmet and there have been some many accidents that could have had a better outcome then what they had. There needs to be a law making it illegal riding a motorcycle or a motorized bike any bike without a helmet. They should call the law Ryan's Law.
