I was shocked when this episode aired in the UK to hear your swipe at intersex people. I can only assume you don't know any; if you did you would know what an incredibly hard life intersex people can suffer, from the cruelty of other people to the long-term medical problems caused by their condition. I have loved the show but between this horrible insult and the heteronormative disappointment of the whole "boy = sports, girls clearly don't play" episode I have started to have strong reservations about it. Shame on you and whoever wrote this, you are in danger of being no better than Nancy at her racist, homophobic worst, or the broad-brush het shows you probably think you are so much better than.

Transgender people, Intersex people, and many others are portrayed poorly on TV. 25 years ago (or less) it was the limpwristed gay guys who were the victims. Let's not pass this down to the one below you on the mainstream-acceptance ladder.

A good friend of mine is transgendered, and this is important to him. My mother has a good friend who is transgendered, and this would be important to her. In fact, I am sending this petion to them right now...

I am tired of 'edgy' comedy trying to get things by and thinking they need to poke fun at someone else so no one will notice

Intersex people are not weird, nor should they be made fun of in a show that touts itself to be friendly towards the LGBTQIA community. As a transgender person, and gender justice advocate, I would ask you to please educate yourself on the struggles that intersex people face, and reflect your new knowledge on your show. You have a powerful tool in your hands to help create a more understanding and accepting society for the queer community, so please do the right thing and stop splitting the community by making fun of the parts you are not as knowledgeable about.

I honestly like the show but feel they made a mistake.

I have a much loved family member who is transgender. I am a fan of your show and appreciate its humor, but when it targets a community of people who have been mistreated because of who they are, just for a laugh, I think that requires speaking up.

It's about time that Ryan Murphy meet some new brain cells and learn about trans, intersex and non-white, queers
