Oh my gosh, I cannot believe it. The RVS is pulling out of SMH (stoke Mandaville Hospital). The Spinal cafe that we know and love will be no more. 

There  has been a cafe in the spinal unit for many many years providing a calm, relaxing environment to ease away the stresses of the hospital life wheter you are a patient, visitor or hospital staff member. It is a place where you will always be greeted by happy, friendly and consistant staff. Many staff member have been working here for years and no matter how busy they are you will never feel rushed. 

Its not 'just another cafe' it is a social area and so much more. It is a common room for the hospital staff to meet and eat. It is a meeting room for important discussions. It is an area where patients, often long stay can socialise in a 'normal', safe environment. There is a peaceful conservatory where you can quietly gather your thoughts or you can enjoy some fresh air and sunshine in the garden courtyard area. 

But of course you can just grab a drink and a tasty bite to eat, made with fresh ingrediants and very reasonable priced. 

All this will be gone and will be missed by so many.
