For democracy to operate in full circle citizens must practice their civic engagement duties. For that to happen, Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) students are asking for polling sites on campus. Polling stations on campus will increase student civic engagement and learn about the political environment in Rutherford County. It is vital for students to have a voice in politics because we are the future of our country. Not having voting sites on campus limits access for students to participate in their civic duties. Many students do not have a car on campus or the time to leave our traffic-heavy town. Having voting polls on campus will increase student voting and political involvement. We believe in a better America, together.
