The bridge was a public right of way (easement), now it has been demolished a replacement crossing must be built in order to reinstate the public right of way.

I consider the demolition of the bridges an act of short sighted vandalism, open spaces are more and more important in our lives and removal of the bridges has denied access to a new park once finished

These bridges should have been repaired and opened as a means of public access to the nature reserve being created at Beddington Farmlands. A new bridge is crucial to providing access to the largest greenspace in south London to the residents of Hackbridge.
