Women and men should be treated equally, and everyone should have the same rights and opportunities. Many women are treated as lesser, or not as important, as men. Some women are cheated of their rights and don’t get the opportunities in life that most men have. We need to stop this!

Gender equality is not a 'women's concern' but the responsibility of all individuals and the society as a whole and requires the active contribution and input from both women and men. Basic access to education, health, equality of economic opportunity, and political empowerment are the measures of gender equality. There are many alarming issues regarding gender discrimination that still prevail today. Therefore, total gender equality must be a global priority as a fundamental step in human development and economic progress. It is a well-known fact that men cannot survive without women and women cannot survive without men. Each gender greatly impacts the other's lives. But many people fail to realize this. Why is gender equality such a huge issue?
