For the past 3 months Cllr Tanya Rothman and Ronnie Van Der Westhuizen personally funded the operation of the water supply to the above area. The original arrangement was for 10 days. A telemetry was installed for a better uninterrupted water supply to the area. Rustenburg Local Municipality promised to pay. This off course did not happen. The above 2 persons can not continue to fund the operation. It is in fact unfair to expect this from them. The telemetry will be switched off. We demand that Rustenburg Local Municipality now do what residents pay them for: 24/7 water supply with a proper telemetry system. The ongoing crisis cannot connot continue. Water is a necessity, not a luxury!!
