Every summer there are drownings in the Bass Coast Shire. This is an area with vast coastline. As a result of the CoVid-19 Pandemic, our swim schools have been closed for most of the last 18 months. As a result, many local children are now lacking in their swim schools, swim school providers are struggling to stay afloat and may need to close their doors and swimming teachers may be forced to leave the area and find alternative work. It is imperative that we save our local swim schools and protect the well-being of our children by reopening regional swim schools across the Bass Coast Shire. There are zero cases of CoVid-19 in the Bass Coast Shire and with regional cases under control this makes the most sense for the safety of our children and the wider community. PLEASE SIGN.
