Start a Revolution in the European Elections

This petition had 49 supporters

UKIP are on course to win the greatest share of the vote in the European election (Currently 4 points ahead)*. The argument can be made that there is no real difference between the major political parties, but with UKIP there is. UKIP`s recent anti-immigration posters are crude propaganda that should offend all tolerant people. Prominent UKIP member Sanya-Jeet Thandi`s recent resignation due to the party being "racist", is a clear warning of the danger they represent.

If they succeed it will not be because of their popularity, but due to the currently predicted low turnout for the European elections (Thursday, 22 May). Young people are the least likely to vote - but also the most likely to vote against them.

This petition calls on Russell Brand to vote in the European Elections to prevent a UKIP victory, and use his influence to encourage young people and European citizens** to do the same. This does not mean buying into or endorsing the political system, but rather disrupting an election which UKIP are confident they have already already won.

** (European citizens who are residents in the UK can vote in the European Elections)
