Rural emergency hospitals need to start bulk billing for children
This petition had 980 supporters
After receiving emergency care for my 3 year old daughter after hours I was then slapped with a whopping bill in the hundreds.
Being a rural area, we do not have public emergency doctors. Therefore we are charged to visit an emergency room when crisis calls.
All children are entitled to health care. How many parents simply can't afford to attend an emergency room when their child is sick. By making sure each child is bulk billed, we are ensuring that all children are meeting basic health care needs, that nothing is missed or un diagnosed.
Something needs to change, and that change is to make sure all hospitals are bulk billing for minors!
