I am an avid dog lover and owner of dogs since I was a small child. There is a need to provide our community personalized doggie daycare and boarding. The kennels and boarding facilities in neighboring areas are inundated and poorly staffed. I can provide individualized care for up to 6 dogs including my own 2. I am very vigilant when it comes to barking dogs. I do not as a general rule allow dogs outside after 10pm or before 6:30 am. I immediately address the barking and whisk the dogs inside and settle them quickly. No dogs will be housed in the yard. Dogs are vetted for safety reasons before accepted to Karen's K-9's. ALL DOGS are REQUIRED to have vaccines! Gates to my yard are padlocked to secure and contain dogs to my yard. Yard cleaning is done multiple times a day and waste is disposed in an appropriate manner. Providing the community with quality doggie daycare allows our neighbors to work without worry about their pet. Also, I am able to provide boarding for family vacations. This allows for bonding and recharging of the family unit. We all care about our pets. I am just trying to provide a small service to a small number of clients in the Griffith area. I quit my job as a teacher after the pandemic to start this business. Not being allowed to run this business will greatly affect my family. The loss of income will be an economic burden that will destroy my family. Neighbors within 300 feet of my property are supposedly adversely affected. My point is that i already have 2 dogs that sometimes bark, my neighbor on the right has 2 dogs that sometimes bark and neighbors to my left each have dog that sometimes barks and so on and so on. Barking dogs has not been a reason property value declines. The running of this business would help to keep my property neat and tidy. Unsanitary conditions would not be suitable for business. Also, no dogs will be in the front yard unless they are leashed. I truly try very hard to keep noise to a minimum. Allowing me to have this business allows clients peace of mind when working or traveling. I assure you nothing more but the utmost professionalism at Karen's K-9's.
