Run CEC-specific draws in Canada's Express Entry immigration system.
Why this petition matters
Dear readers,
It is commonly believed that Canadian Economic Class (CEC) candidates have been abandoned by IRCC and its Minister Sean Fraser. Unfortunately, CEC candidates are the ones who are paying the price of a very poor management of the Canadian immigration system in recent years.
We are talking about hundreds and hundreds of individuals that are currently affected by the incompetence of some institutions and its public/immigration system.
CEC candidates are already socially and culturally integrated in the country. Some of them studied here too, they learned the official languages of the country, they achieved Canadian work experience... but nothing of that has been enough to gain Mr. Fraser's respect and consideration.
On top of that, most of them worked fearlessly during the hardest times of Canada's recent history: during the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
CEC candidates have paid taxes in the country too, but it seems that the money paid is being used on other matters instead of investing it on improving IRCC's system, for instance. More manpower, better technology, better customer service,... so many things that need to be improved, that it is even hard to believe that they do not realize themselves.
It feels that they are playing with our lives. “You can’t get an ITA now? Too bad, go back to your country of origin, we do not need you anymore”. We all can agree that this attitude is not nice.
We are just asking what is fair. That is why the time has come. It is time to step up to ask for fair treatment for CEC immigrants. Now that Express Entry all-programs draws have been resumed (good!), CEC-specific draws need to be conducted at the same time and in parallel with those ones.
Do not give up now, folks! Sign and share the petition and do not stop until our voices are heard.
Best regards,
