On August 11, 2021, Anne Arundel County Board of Education member Corine Frank announced a fundraiser to be hosted at Rumor Reel in Pasadena, Maryland. We find Ms. Frank's attempt to sell $1000 "Stop CRT" sponsorships and $500 "Stop Masking Kids" sponsorships to be reprehensible, as well as unethical for a sitting board member.

We ask the owners of Rumor Reel to denounce the act of an elected school official politicizing schoolchildren's well-being in order to enrich her campaign and further her political career. We further ask Rumor Reel to terminate the contract for the event if it is legally possible to do so.
