Here at Greenleaf State Park we have a very popular rugged scenic trail that many people enjoy year round. The upper loop of the trail is 18 miles total going around the entire lake, lower loop is 12 miles, and 2.75 miles in is the famous swinging bridge. Several years ago there was a bridge/walkway across the spillway in order to cross safely and effectively, which was removed when they did construction on the spillway. After they removed the bridge, we had to reroute the trail to highway 10. Hiking along the highway is very dangerous as well as a bad experience for our guests. Adding a bridge across the spillway will be very helpful in ensuring our hikers safety as well as their experience. This will also cut down unnecessary length and make it closer to the swinging bridge from the trailhead in the park. Signing this petition will better everyone’s experience that enjoys this trail.

Thank you
