Our school district is short changing the pre-identified advanced students, who have already mastered the material and who will spend a year being bored, checking out and falling behind.  Ending a program in midstream without consultation, proper discussion and dissemination for those students already in an advanced program in unconscionable.  We simply ask they allow the students to remain in the groups already created through completion of the math curriculum (aka grandfather the previously grouped AMP kids together through Algebra).
