Focus funding on Social Care Funding rather than Foreign Aid

We believe that the Government should focus its attention on the issue of social care funding. The Government should take responsibility for its actions and realise that charity begins at home rather than abroad. It is time that out elderly and most vulnerable citizens were looked after first. The Government should prioritise looking after elderly and disabled people first before sending money overseas. It is time to cut the Foreign Aid budget and divert the resources to Adult Social Care. Between 2009-10 and 2015-16, funding for Adult Social Care was cut from £17.5bn to £16.4bn. Over the same period, the Foreign Aid budget ballooned from £8.5bn to 12.24bn. That is a rise of 44%. Cut the Foreign Aid budget and spend it on our elderly and most vulnerable people first.
