Taking into account the distress caused to domestic animals and to wildlife, we, the undersigned respectfully request Her Majesty's Government to consider a total ban on the sale of fireworks to the general public.  Acquisition of these items should be restricted to professional entities and properly licenced.

It should be considered an offence to discharge fireworks other than in the course of a properly licenced display and subject to Local Authority approval.

The suffering caused by loud fireworks is not limited to animals.but to former and current members of the Armed Forces who have been traumatised by service in conflict.
