There are great laws in place to support women and men through the pregnancy and start of their children lives, and now we feel its time to recognise the real struggle women have through the menopause.
We are looking to support women, with flexible working, to help cope with those dreadful days when you cant focus, or are having such bad hot flashes you look awful and feel even worse. We know everyone's path is different and the time has come to look at each person individually - and make this path to and through the menopause, one which we thrive in.
25% of women have no symptoms, however of the 75% who do, 25% of those can have a debilitating experience either through physical or mental challenges.
Currently there are over 13 million women in the UK experiencing peri, meno, or post menopause symptoms, regardless of family situation, or sexual orientation. This affects all of womankind, and therefore touches all our lives, and the people who live with, work with, or are friends of us.
We want to raise awareness in the workplace so this almost silent phase has its own voice and appropriate support in the workplace.
