Problem
On the 1st October 2020 the Winter Energy Payment is due to expire:  This will force those already on welfare to be worse off on a weekly basis going from having an extra $63.00 a week for couples and an extra $41.00 a week for single people.

Solution
Change the 2018 Social Security Act to allow these vulnerable people of New Zealand to continue having this money while we are in a Covid 19 Pandemic change the name of the payment from Winter Energy Payment to a Full Seasonal Power Payment:  This will keep people on Welfare in a better place instead of pushing people down back into poverty even more and forcing an increase of people on welfare extending their use of hardship grants:  Also increase the level of main benefits to those on the Covid 19 Relief Payments bringing those on a main benefit into line and this needs to apply to the 51% of people on welfare who have a disability
