Abolish the Bedroom Tax
This petition had 16 supporters
Since the introduction of the bedroom tax there has been much hardship, heartache and suicides. Tenants have been forced to move from their homes of 30 years plus to areas where the only available property they were allowed to take was. Disabled people with a two bedroom house where the lift ended in the small bedroom (usually too small for a bed as well) are also forced to find alternative accommodation. When someone with a three bedroom house has to downsize to a one bedroom property it is more than likely they will only find a flat. If people remember it was the Thatcher government who brought about the right to buy the council housing property leaving a shortage with regard "social" housing.I have signed petitions to save non British nationals now may we abolish this tax and look after our own in these islands?
