I write to you seeking your help with the current shortage of HGV drivers in the United Kingdom.

Due to the current lockdown restrictions in place halting the ongoing training of Professional Drivers alongside a long standing shortage of trained drivers, I would ask for considerations be made to remove the ban on practical and computer-based theory for HGV Class 2 (LGV C) and HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) to allow for a more efficient distribution system across the United Kingdom. I believe that the additional space in most HGV cabs, alongside the desperate need for the welfare of the countries drivers and indeed the country as a whole, makes this a necessary action to take.
