Season 3 of The Rotunda was filmed during a Pandemic when birthing partners were not allowed in during early labour and only allowed for active labour.

This meant that the film crew of this production were given precedence over the fathers of the newborn. 

I don't want this petition to be divisive or polarised and take away from the joy and sadness portrayed by the people featured on this show. I however, don't think this show should be aired in the first place. It shows incredible insensitivity and disrespect to the majority of women who have laboured alone during the Pandemic while allowing a film crew in to capture the moments of birth instead of the fathers. Please sign this petition to get RTÉ to remove it from broadcast and let our voices finally be heard for all that we have endured birthing a nation alone while shouldering the burden of the Pandemic.
