Great Developments On Our Petition To TRAI

Dear Supporters, A lot has happened since you last heard from us. We have a new Telecom Minister, Mr. Manoj Sinha. TRAI has been very proactively looking at Quality of Service of mobile operators. They recently came out with this consultation paper asking people to leave their comments. Amongst other things, TRAI is thinking about customer satisfaction index and overall quality of experience by the customer. It is also asking stakeholders if the financial penalties on telecom operators should be based on their individual performance. TRAI has also launched a mobile app called 'MySpeed (TRAI)' that allows users to measure real-time speed of their mobile internet. The free app, currently available for Android, captures and sends coverage, data speed, and other network information along with device and location of the tests. The data is then sent to TRAI. All this is great news because it means TRAI has already started putting customer experience first. We will keep you posted on the latest developments of the campaign.
