- This week a handful of our children in the middle school were placed on a hitlist by another student. I was told by the middleport police dept that our school IS the only one in the area that doesn't have a resource officer. We clearly have a need for one. A resource officer will be on site to help be there in case their is a threat to our children or our school. Those seconds can make a difference. Let the board know WE DEMAND a resource officer to keep our children safe. Please sign this petition and help me fight for our children's safety.
