Our postman Paul Kelly was dismissed by Royal Mail in October for a very minor incident. His first "offence" in over 20 years of service. His colleagues at Maidstone Sorting Office supported him by walking out of work. It was agreed that Paul would face a second discipline hearing and that he would remain on full pay until a final decision had been made. The second hearing took place on 5th November. No decision has yet been made. In the meantime Royal Mail has reneged on the agreement to keep Paul on full pay and have also confiscated his Royal Mail shares. It is now over 2 months since Paul's second hearing...no decision...no pay...no shares. Royal Mail have behaved atrociously towards Paul. The people of Yalding want Paul to return to his job and continue serving our community as before.
