Milli Mcdonald started this petition to Royal Geelong Yacht Club

The Royal Geelong Yacht Club has attracted millions upon millions of dollars to build a new Off the Beach building and new wave attenuator. RGYC hopes that these supposed "improvements" will attract more national and world-class regattas. However, in the current concept design for the Off the Beach building, there is no workspace allocated to Bull Sails. Bull Sails has been an integral part of the Royal Geelong Yacht club for decades. Due to his prime location in the current OTB building, Tony Bull has been able to fix damaged sails and equipment with little notice. This allows competitors from an international level to club levels to go back out for racing the very next day, and sometimes out for the very next race. Through his role as a coach at RGYC, he has coached a World Champion and many Australian team representatives. These fantastic achievements are made possible by the Bull Sails office based at RGYC. RGYC aims to put Geelong on the world map for sailors. Things such as a sailmaker on-site make regattas a much higher caliber. Making Bull sails move out would be a retrogression and counteractive to RGYC's goals as a club. Million-dollar bells and whistles are irrelevant when a club doesn't have the fundamentals right. To let the board know what you think, sign and share this petition. Every signature counts!!
