Change the parking system at the Royal Free Hospital Trust to stop unnecessary fines

The Royal Free Hospital Trust has a terrible parking system that isn’t clear and causes many people to receive £60-£100 parking fines.
Under the current system you must enter your car registration number (signs state that you can do this on arrival or departure) and you must enter in the amount of hours you intend to stay/have stayed. The parking machine is confusing and there are no clear instructions.
This system causes confusion and the ticket machine does not prompt you to pay the correct amount for parking and even though you enter in your car registration number, you are supposed to note down the hours you have been in the hospital and select the correct amount of money to pay yourself. This system is in place purely to make money from the confusion of people attending hospital for appointments or visits. It’s disgusting. This is causing unnecessary stress and anxiety for people who are dealing with health issues and for visitors just trying to visit their family/friends/relatives.
This petition is for The Royal Free Trust to change their parking system to an ANPR style so that ticket machines ask for your car registration number and then TELL you the correct amount to pay when you exit the hospital.
