Live theatre in Port Coquitlam, BC.

From the early 2000´s until 2013, the Terry Fox Theatre was a vibrant place for theatre, arts and culture in the city of Port Coquitlam. Hundreds of shows would come trough the doors, open to the community. People used to travel from Vancouver to see productions right here in Port Coquitlam. Whether it be    Christmas pantomimes, musicals and comedies or so much more, you could experience it at the Terry Fox Theatre.

Unfortunately, the society which owns the theatre closed. Since then, there has been a drop in performing arts in the community. Not many public shows come to the theatre anymore, and patrons must go to Coquitlam or Maple Ridge, if they’d wish to see shows.

The Royal Canadian Theatre Company, which brought “The Hound of the Baskervilles” to Port Coquitlam last October, is having a meeting with the city on this subject. Unfortunately, rental prices are high, and without the support of the community or city, we cannot return to Port Coquitlam. Help us keep performing arts alive and continue to bring professional local theatre, right here in Port Coquitlam.
