SUPPORT FOR SERVICE ANIMALS
SUPPORT FOR SERVICE ANIMALS

Recognition of service animals. Watching the 100 year programme of remembrance with the Royal British Legion seeing how animals have given up their lives or been Injured supporting our servicemen men in war especially the first world war and conflicts thought the world. I contacted the Royal British Legion to enquire what support they give to animal charities to help with training or support for injured animals that are injured or died.
I was shocked to learn that the RBL Does not donate any money or support any animal charity as it is not in their royal charter. As the leading charity for servicemen holding their remembrance service every year with millions raised find it quite shocking even though they show animals supporting servicemen no actual support is given to the animals that serve.
This is the procedure the RBL have said to follow
Should you wish such a Charter Motion to be submitted to next year’s Annual Conference, it will need a Charter Motion to be raised by your Branch. This will then be taken to your County Conference at the beginning of 2020 and, if approved at that gathering, it will be forwarded to the National Conference Committee for consideration for inclusion in the agenda for Annual Conference 2020
So please sign this petition so I can present it to the RBL in time for their AGM 2020.
