Resident Parking Issues Kings Road/Queens Road, Sunninghill, SL5

Having lived in Kings Road for 15 years we have seen the demand for parking in the village rise and cause problems for local residents trying to park close to their own homes.
Despite local campaigning and issues raised with local council, there is little being done to help residents in Kings Road and a section of Queens Road SL5.
Queens Road has had residents parking badges issued for one part but not the full length of road and not Kings Road. This has had a consequent effect on parking - not improving the situation but just shifting the problem elsewhere.
We were advised by a local Councillor that we could in fact park in residents parking and on one occasion where there was no alternative, we parked in Queens Road and were issued a ticket.
The ticket has been appealed and sadly rejected by the local council who show little leniency or consideration for the difficulty local residents have with parking.
Also, there was a nasty accident in September 2016 due to excessive parking by tradesman renovating the house opposite Marist Convent and in addition tradesmen working at Lynwood have started parking here. There should be white lines to restrict parking on the bend as this creates a blind spot for anyone turning out of Queens Road.
Also a speed camera could be considered to slow traffic on the bend.
This issue is not due to excessive number of cars from residents but the vehicle owners/drivers that come to work in the village and park in the local streets Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
