An alternative traffic route for the development of the Heythrop College site

As residents in the parish of Christ Church Kensington and the Queens Gate Ward of the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, we are very concerned about the previously proposed traffic route for the Development of the Heythrop College site outlined in the recent Construction Traffic Management Plan, namely south down Victoria Road from Kensington Road, turning right into St Alban’s Grove, passing The Builders Arms and entering the site via the small roundabout at the junction of Ansdell Street and South End (the ‘Previous Route’). We oppose the choice of the Previous Route and ask councillors and relevant officers to consider all other options before agreeing to the same route in any subsequent planning application. We would like RBKC to consider asking the developers to come up with an engineering solution over the railway lines into Scarsdale Place or, failing that, to consider whether lorries entering Kensington Square via Young Street and exiting via Derry Street would cause less convenience to the majority of local residents than the Previous Route.
