We note that the mast and associated cabinet was refused planning permission by the Royal Borough Of Greenwich Council when it sought prior approval in 2017, but the notice was sent outside of the statutory timeframe.  As a result of the late refusal of prior approval the construction of the mast and cabinet was allowed by default.  

We note that the Council has apologised for the IT system error which has led to the construction of the telecommunications mast and associated cabinet, however, we do not consider that an apology is sufficient in this case.

We ask that the Council takes all necessary steps to remove the mast and associated equipment.
