Save Witham’s NatWest Bank

Over the last few years Witham’s population has increased enormously, yet the services to the town seem to be ever shrinking. The closure of the local branch of NatWest is a short sighted loss which needs to be reversed. Less mobile people in the town will find it more difficult to carry out their banking tasks, another vacant building will appear on our high street and local jobs will be lost. This is the wrong decision to be being made for a town who’s population is only set to grow over the next ten years. RBS should reconsider their decision in the light of the fact that our town is on the increase and their business here is therefore likely to grow considerably in the future.
