As confirmed cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus spread in the U.S. this week, kids of all ages are vulnerable esp. the one's with weaker immune system. Request the Austin and surrounding school districts to close schools.

Emphasis on hand washing, staying home if you’re sick and covering your cough with a sleeve or tissue, is understood. But kids catch viruses and illness quicker than most adults do. 

While we do not have any confirmed cases in Round Rock ISD or any ISD's here in Austin with the virus, it is of utmost importance that we continue to act out of an abundance of caution. We feel it is the right action to safeguard the health and well-being of our children. 

Request to close schools for extended Spring Break or until further communication about the virus. This will only help to lower the probability of the spread of the virus to you, your families and the communities where we operate.
