Stop the closure of Hoo's NatWest branch
This petition had 110 supporters
Despite being bailed out by the taxpayer in 2008, the Royal Bank of Scotland (which owns NatWest) has taken the decision to close the only branch on the Hoo Peninsula which local residents can reasonably access. In their customer charter, NatWest promised not to close any branches if they were the last in the town. Now they are dropping that pledge. Residents and businesses in Hoo who rely on this branch will have no other option but to make a lengthy journey into Strood which many may not be able to make, and will only add further to local congestion.
We hereby call on the Royal Bank of Scotland to reconsider it's decision to close the NatWest branch in Hoo which may have a detrimental effect on the local area and community.
