Every woman I speak to has the same problem. Car seatbelts were not designed to be worn by women. Shortly after buckling up, the seat belt starts to ride up over the bust and eventually settles around the neck, virtually throttling the wearer. A large percentage of us feel we are likely to have or cause an accident while driving because we are busy fiddling with the belt trying to get comfortable. As passengers, we either hold some slack in our laps or hook our elbows into the shoulder part of the fitting to avoid being strangled. Please could someone come up with a better design to fit as standard on new cars. We do, after all, make up a good half of the motoring public.
