Due to the 2018/19 Ministry of Education budget cuts, my school, Rosedale Heights School of The Arts, doesn't have enough grade 11&12 humanities courses, specifically in Block-B (day one, class two), for all of the students. I am one of the many students who was given the option of either taking a spare or an online course as all the in person courses were already full. I am deeply saddened by the fact that numerous students have been forced to take an unplanned spare or online credit, especially after having being isolated from teachers and peers for so long already due to the global pandemic. 

There is a slight possibility that an additional humanities course could be offered, but only if we could prove that the demand was there. I created this petition to show that we care and that we want this additional course to run. Please share the petition if you go to Rosedale, and sign the petition if you would be interested in taking the course. Those eligible to take the course include all grade 11&12 students who are available on day one, class two (block-b) first semester, as well as all grade 10 students who have already completed grade 10 English, as it is the prerequisite to most grade 11 humanities courses.
