COVID-19 known as CORONAVIRUS has been classified as a global pandemic. FLORIDA has declared a STATE OF EMERGENCY. With at least  314 cases statewide, including 4 deaths. Schools are closed. State and federal officials are encouraging people who feel sick to stay home. Independent contractors who already struggle with making rent and mortgage payments are being affected by this and could leave them and their families unsheltered.

In order to protect the health and housing security of our community, we call on Governor DiSantis to act now. Specifically, we call for a suspension of all rent and mortgage payments, loans and credit card payments for 60 - 90 days and allow people to do what they need to in order to take care of themselves, their loved ones, and the community.
