Street legal side by sides
Why this petition matters

Senate Bill 241 paves the way for legal registration of UTVs in North Carolina starting in October 2021.
Now, 22 states allow street licensing of OHVs turning them into Street-Legal UTVs for connecting national and state forest trails via paved roads, either as motorcycles or farm implements.Jan 20, 2019

STATES WITH STREET-LEGAL UTVs
How long is Florida going to wait? We are supposed to be a free state.
You can ride a motorcycle here, anywhere you want to go in Florida without a helmet.
You can register dune buggies, kit cars, Etc. With none of these having crash protection, airbags or any of the new safety features on these new vehicles. Yet we are allowed to do it and why because we are free.
A typical side-by-side can range anywhere from 1400 to 2300 pounds. Can run anywhere from 50 to 90+ miles an hour stock. They come with headlights, running lights, brake lights, full roll cage and safety restraints. Vehicles can easily be equipped and most often are with rearview mirrors, side mirrors, windshields, horns, and blinkers.
I propose it’s time for Florida to let is people enjoy the same rights as the other free states. Let us drive on the roads. Along with scooters, motorcycles, dune buggies, kit cars, jacked up jeeps, and anything else out there driving around.
If we are carrying insurance and we either wear glasses or goggles and or a windshield. Have a horn, headlights, brake lights and running lights. We should be legal and have the same rights.
We want to go out to eat on occasions, take our kids for ice cream, take it to church every once in a while, drive from her homes Lake County straight down 19 to the Ocala Forest just like the jeeps. We just want to be free.
We can do this Florida!!
